About Us
We are located in a small village in the Palatinate Forrest in the Southwest of Germany.
We go back a long way. From day one we both have wanted a dog. After we have bought our little house finally the time was right. We considered about a lot of breeds undecided what we would like. Therefore we were looking around to figure out our favorate breed by books and all opportunities suitable for getting information and ideas. Accidentally we saw a photo of a small Samoyed puppy in a book about Northern breeds. It was love on first sight, that must be it.
But the problem was, that we never had seen these dogs in person. We decided to contact the kennel club for Northern breeds (DCNH) and got name and address of a breeder. The breeder took herself a lot of time to tell us a all about Samoyeds (Thanks again for supporting us, Heidi!) and we still were sure that this is the breed we want to live with.
We were looking for a breeder and had to wait about half a year for that litter. The breeder recommended to us to take two puppies, because that time we both were employed and so Teddy and Yoshi came to live with us in September 1995. Due to a divorce a young male came back to the breeder of Teddy and Yoshi in 1996 and then, to us. This was the beginning of being influenced by the breed and our addiction to Samoyeds.
Our pack were followed by Mara (1997), Smilla (rescued from a life in an animal shelter) in 2000, and as we did not see the signs from an “accident” Aiva in 2001 as one of three sisters who stays with us.
Our Samoyeds are working Samoyeds still able to do a great job as sled dogs. In 2004 we were looking for a new puppy who should substitute our leader Yoshi in some years. So Marouk came to live with us. Marouk was followed by Nai-Ti in 2005 our little Danish boy.
After owning Samoyeds for so many years we get interested to become a breeder. We started looking for the best brood bitch we could get and so Kachina, Marouk’s half-sister, moved from the Netherlands to us in 2006. We are pretty sure, we have found our foundation bitch!
Our first Samoyeds Teddy and Yoshi passed away, as well as Dashan and Mara. Currently 9 Samoyeds are living with us and we are ready to start breeding very soon!
We are members of the initiative IG Samoyed who wants to maintain the Samoyed as an original working dog.
